The facts do show that the melting ice cap is indeed shifting the ocean currents. A more drastic shift will happen when the ice caps are gone.

If this is true and not just another "What if article" designed to scare the voters into demanding action so that the perpetrators of the article have their agenda advanced, then all who have invested so heavily in the push to convince one & all that global warming is man made and we need to spend vast amounts of money to reverse the global warming will be very sad.

I think that you have a few meteorological flukes that can happen at anytime. Though Los Angeles, CA had a very cool summer, just go a short inland and it was as hot as it usually as.

Computer models show oil leaking from a damaged well in the Gulf of Mexico could wind up on the East Coast and even get carried on currents across the Atlantic Ocean toward Europe.
