60 cents to $1.00 since the price has fallen somewhat. The gasoline companies want to make their money in the winter so it will rise.

seems like every year its the same thing jack up the prices during holidays then they talk about it going down but never goes down to where it was the year before so everything else goes up in price and of course they have to cover costs... its kind of scary to think of what its going to be like 10 years from now let alone next year i mean come on how many people can afford 3.70$ a gallon for gas now let alone 5 if it ends up that high next year n so on n so on for everyone that works min wage etc its a struggle as it is so i bet they will be pushing gas prices to atleast 4$ on average by 2012 just because they can

It was reported earlier this year that we could see go up to $5.00 a gallon and it seems when such reports are made it usually ends up happening. I'll go with your $1.00 to $1.50 option.

probably around 20 to 40 cents more, why is it that it's higher around a holiday? It all has to do with taking advantage of the consumer and greed take the crude oil off the commodities market and place it back in the hands of the consumer, supply and demand, supply and demand!

This is getting beyone ridiculous. Both the feds & the provincial governments blow tax dollars like it was a never ending pile of funds for fun and sadly, easily conned votes. When are we going to DO SOMETHING???

Call your MP & MPP...write them...Buy little amounts of gas...does anyone have ANY ideas?? When they're making this much on taxes, they have NO incentive to help any of us. We are susidizing their fun & games! C'mon folks...we are way too passive!!

DO SOMETHING (legal of course) & PASS IT AROUND!

I think we will see gas prices creep up to 4.75 by summer. I also think gas prices need to be regulated, someone is surly getting rich, but I know its not us.

I think he government should regulate prices but they don't care because of all the taxes they collect from each liter of gas we purchase.

I believe and agree with some of the other people posting that we will see $5.00/per gallon for regular by July. It may creep to between $5.50 and $6.00 before stopping and maybe decreasing.

Buy the look of things and the trouble in the mid-east. Summer is gonna bring high prices .
4.95 or better , if it does break 5.00 I would say 5.24 will top it off.
We are in for a "cruel, cruel summer".

Let see . . . the prices are already up $0.15/litre. I guess my hope is gone.

I have said it before and I will say it again.

We have little to complain about the gas prices here in the US. In many parts of England they are paying as much as $9 dollars per gallon. I realize we aren't in England but just think if gas prices reach 9 dollars per gallon here in the US. Do you think people would stop driving? Or just pay the price and keep driving?

And the people that think by not buying gas for a day or so will force the major oil companys to lower the price are just kidding them self. Gas is only a very small percentage of the oil used in the US. I don't know about every car in the US today but most cars get around 22 miles per gallon and most cars hold about 16 gallons per tank full. Now thats around 352 miles per tank. I don't know about you but that's more then a week of gas for my car. (in case your not taking notes here that's more than 7 days before another fill up). which in my book it more than a couple of days of not buying gas.

I also relize that not everyone can do this but lets just stop kidding our selfs with this idea that if we all stop buying gas for a few days its going to cause the oil companys or the rest of the the world to lower prices, it simply isn't going to happen.

$1.00 to $1.50/gal (25-40¢/L)

I hope it won't, but I believe it could hit $5/gal by mid summer.
As long as the US public continues to use as much petroleum as in past, the speculators will increase the price/gal as it is pumped from the ground!

Also, the increased use by all countries helps the speculators to justify their increases.

If government doesn't fix the price, not even digs more wells to increase the supply, then price will go up more than 40%...no matter how much we earn by weekly!

It depends on how much OPECK morgan & stanly are our government Act. Want to lie and steal from the middle class working people.
But anyway I guess about $5.00 a gallon on 87 octane.

And now on April Fools day we are told that tonight (Saturday, April 1-2011) Canadian gas prices WILL jump by 30 cents per litre, putting it at $1.53 or higher across the country. We're told this in advance and all the fuel companies will do it, but our governments will NOT call it price fixing. What else is it!

Gas prices will go through the roof. This will cause civilization to fall apart in 2012. As the nuclear powers race to seize the oil wells in the third world, World War III will erupt as they clash over resources. If you survive, as you stumble through the rubble on New Years Day, 2013, gas prices won't seem so important anymore.

On average, fuel is about 40-50 cents more here in AK. There is still more room for improvement...a few years ago we were paying 4.25/gal n't wait to get back to the lower 48.

Maybe $5.oo a gallon. But I think if everyone boycott at the same time, maybe something would be done about the prices.
