Thank you for the congratulations, and have a great day.

by LanguageMan1  Sep 06, 2014

Have a great day and weekend as well as week ahead. I probably won't be on here much except to post until the holidays.

Yes, I DO have a job again, FINALLY, after 10 long months of being unemployed, four without unemployment benefits and those four month being counted as "...not looking for work..." or as they put it in another term, "...giving up on finding a job..." which was NEVER the truth. By saying we're no longer looking for work, they eliminate millions of us and reduce the true unemployment numbers, so 6.1% for the reported rate and around 10% for the U-6 rate which is nearer to the truth has never been and IS NOT the truth. Yes, we're ALL speculators when investing, even if you only invest $25 a year hoping it goes up. The MANIPULATORS are Big Oil, OPEC, the politicians, the ultra-wealthy, the biggest banks, and many others who influence the supply and price greatly.

by LanguageMan1  Sep 06, 2014

There speculators are NOT the very essence of evil as you say, because everyone IS a speculator when making an investment. The MANIPULATORS are the ones the focus should be on as they control the prices.

Thanks but naw, nothing special for me. Just sitting outside the library, even though it's closed for the holiday, to use the net. No family, too many friends are dead and buried and still out of work and homeless just don't cut it. Couldn't even make it for the free meal today at the soup kitchen. Anyhow, hopefully tomorrow will be MY DAY for a job where I'm going. Need it so bad.

Hey gasokie, have a great Labor Day and week ahead.

Well said.

"If it wasn't for fracking gasoline would be well over six bucks now." It would be well over $4, but not quite that high. If we didn't frack, then it would be like taking Libya out of the equation, and we're already higher because Libya is still not shipping out as much as they did. If Iraqi oilfields are in the hands of ISIS and they have lower amounts of oil being shipped out of the country, then we're going to go past $5 a gallon, possibly on up to $6 to $8 because that's nearly three times the output of Libya. I don't like the fracking, or at least I don't like the fact that we do so much of it, but we'll all see the end results of it within a decade. I hope you had a great Independence Day. Have a great day and week ahead.
