If you've got a Sears or Kmart, look for when the prices of something you'd want is less than Walmart or close to what Costco or Sam's Club has in price, use the discounts [sign up for a shopyourwayrewards card and you'll automatically get $5 or $10 to use for whatever you decide to buy] and you'll get somewhere between 30 to 50 cents off a gallon of gas if you spend what you need to get the discount. I believe it's like $50 or more. I do that about three times a year and save when I do it. Same thing with Big Lots, but no discount on gas there.

Save when and where you can. Have a great day and week ahead.

I know it's not cheaper there. I keep up on the prices in various places, Detroit, Michigan in-general, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and especially Beaver Island, along with many others in this country. I feel for the poorer folks on Beaver Island, those in California who never voted for the people that cause our problems, those out in Alaska and those in Canada and Europe as well against the establisment that's caused our mess. It's Democrats and Republicans alike and especially the ultra-wealthy they work for and they all work for them, with the exception of one or two of either party and they generally don't last long in power.

Oh yeah, most likely we’re all going up on gas prices. We had just started a downward trend here, but that’s over now. We had three or four stations down to $3.13 a gallon, now they're back up to $3.33 and $3.35 a gallon. One station in Miami is already $3.89 a gallon. I'd get gassed up now as it's going up more. I wish I could have told everyone yesterday, but I couldn't make it online other than to post prices in the morning. Sorry. You’ll see prices 15 to 35 cents a gallon higher there in your area soon. They won’t let it drop far when it does.

"Costco gas is the cheapest." Not true, except without the discounts I use. I get gas for well over 50 cents a gallon less than Costco, and sometimes for a $1 or more a gallon less.

Liked your comment about the red light cameras. I don't think they are necessarily a solution, both for traffic and revenue, but the cameras aren't causing the accidents.

You posted a comment that you weren't sure if a small town had been devasted by an oil train derailment. Search Lac Megantic ,Quebec.Canada. 49 people died!
