I gave my wife a 1 oz. Chinese Panda in a holder on a necklace chain for Christmas last year. She said she loved it, but she took the chain off and hung her crucifix on it. The Panda is in her jewelry box to wear later. It is a little heavy.

I assume that you mean a German (Prussian) 20 Mark gold coin from 1886. They are 90% gold = 21.6 kt. They contain 0.23 oz. of gold so at yesterday's price of $1.2071 per oz., the melt value would be ~$277.60. As a collector's coin it could be worth twice that much. Condition matters a lot. I see them on e-bay from ~$300 up to ~$500. Check out this site: http://www.coinquest.com/cgi-bin/cq/coins?main_coin=11673 . . . or . . http://currencies.wikia.com/wiki/Prussian_20_mark_coin
