Yes, in Michigan they don't tax food. But, they also tax food in Alabama, (Red state). I'm not scared of paying taxes, it's the cost of living in the USA.

"I pay taxes on EVERYTHING I purchase, why not stocks? " You do not pay taxes on food (unless you live in a dumb state) or medicine (unless you live in New Mexico). Stocks are financial instruments, as are bank accounts. Ready to pay a transaction tax on your bank accounts? Don't give Obama any dumb ideas!

http://www.factcheck.org/2012/05/congressmans-slippery-cell-phone-claim/ "In his statement to FactCheck, the congressman explained that original intent ”refers to the Lifeline program’s original iteration in 1984 involving landline phones.” Griffin’s interpretation is off the mark, ignoring the precedent of major telecommunications legislation and FCC policy. A brief history: The Telecommunications Act of 1934 created the FCC and established the informal policy of providing universal service to “all the people of the United States.” In 1985, the FCC implemented Lifeline to help low-income households in case phone rates increased after the breakup of AT&T. The Telecommunications Act of 1996 codified the universal service policy".

Sisu58-Seems you are too much of a wuss to post your snarky comments on my whiteboard. Sounds like you're a big class warfare fanboy to me. And, FWIW, I listen to NPR.
