Hello. Toyota in past years has been known for half-year changes, some quite major. I had a 1976 & a 1978 Corona which were fairly standard, but my friend had a 1978 Celica and we had nothing but problems from a wrong sized windshield, to a change in the clutch, to non-standard wiper blades. I am sorry that the Toyota dealer provided the wrong information. I picked that dealer because they're the biggest in the Columbia area. Customer service seems to be a problem everywhere. I can't believe they limited the odometer & wonder why. Corollas are virtually indestructible. I'm glad you found the answer & sorry I gave you the wrong one. Take care - Dan
