I agree. Starting out today with college prices and home prices is a steep hill to climb.

The last thing we need is inflation along with a bad economy and no job growth. We would be right back in a recession without any good way to get out of it.

You are right, both France and Russia are campaigning to remove the dollar as the standard world currency. If that happens America loses a lot of its power and influence.

I'm surprised too. I expect we haven't seen the worst yet.

I pumped your article. Good article. For so much chaos in the world right now, I'm surprised that the markets are so calm.

I ceased my employment because I do not agree with company policies (illegal in Maine) and recent actions.

I don't like most any politician that's out there, and while Obama, Clinton, Bush and all of them are likeable to one degree or another, they don't work for us the people. Well, sorry for rambling. Care to be a bud? When I have the time, I try to warn everyone as much as possible ahead of time before prices go up at the pump. Most usually take heed of when I do and buy ahead of time and many buy a little extra as well now. It saves them money. Take care, have a great day and great week ahead.

it helps the wealthy to get richer. When Clinton and Gingrich and Congress and the ultra-wealthy and large corporations started to ship our jobs out of the country back in the 1990's, my friends and I knew it would make things worse, and it did. By 1998 I was out of a job and my side business went down the tubes. Bush and Congress and the rest of them made it worse. Plus, Obama was an attorney while Clinton was in office and won a case against the big banks and forced them to loan money to people who couldn't afford a mortgage, so he, Clinton, Bush, the Fed and the big banks all created our housing bubble and our financial mess that came to a head in 2007 to 2010. Anyhow, I'm out of work, though I am looking. I had planned on using today to look for work and job openings online. I've been homeless since 1999 mind you, or at least off and on and more of the time actually homeless than not. I know first hand they made things worse as I experience it first hand more than others.

I thought I had seen an article written by you or about you in Popular Science or Mechanics as well as another one or two in Mother Earth News. As it is, reducing expenses is a good thing as it's going to be worse, not better with what Washington, the politicians, the big corporations and the ultra-wealthy are doing to us via all of their BS from the Obamacare to the Carbon Tax, EPA rules on coal fired plants, higher gas taxes, etc. While I'm a greenie, I'm not an eco-Nazi and don't believe that forcing people to pay more for gasoline [Obama, his administration, Big Oil, the EPA, Al-Qaeda, Putin, the Taliban, many among the ultra-wealthy, many in Congress {Plenty of Democrats and Republicans have money invested in oil, natural gas, gasoline, etc. and they're making money while they make us poorer} and others want us to pay $5 to $14 a gallon or more] or energy as they're going to do is the best way to go. Plus, the shipping out of jobs and the bubbles they create hurts the people, but

Hey, that face looks familiar! Are you that guy that lives with his wife and family on a small plot of land off the grid? If it's you, I've been wanting to get a hold of you for years.
