I wish that it could detect my direction of travel, or what road I was on, and emphasize stuff along the route over outliers."
1. you can look at the map view and it will show you any stations wherever you scroll the map.
2. i just tried the trip calculator for a trip i have taken multiple times. the trip calculator allows many advanced options such as a slider between fewer stops and cheaper prices and all sorts of options including setting a year make and model of vehicle and gas mileage. i am definitely going to try it on my next long road trip.
