Coal has an unjustified bad rap and natural gas has been overly touted as being a clean fuel.

Gas is bad coal is bad maybe it is maybe it isn't. I'm beginning to think nobody knows what the hell they are talking about. We have been burning gas for decades and now everybody is running around like chicken littles like the sky is falling. Just make the damn gas and leave us lone with all the stupid crap that is being spewing out.

Just one more reason why we need to push alternative energy: solar, wind and biofuels from algae. But the ultra right wing GOPs will fight that tooth and nail. Ok, expect more hotter summers than this one as well as more violent weather. This is JUST THE START!!!

If you include the acquisition costs of Natural Gas, you must also include acquisition (mining and transportation) costs of coal and nuclear and the materials for building all types of generators.
All this is still a miniscule component of any global warming (or global cooling or climate change), since the dominant contributor to significant climate change is solar flare activity.

i have fugitive methane gas escape all the time ,but God made me this way along with all other animals in the world even cows.: ) some people need to learn what methane is and where it comes from. also that these ghg's are part of nature.blah blah blah blah next they will want to clear cut the planet so the trees/bushes/plants can't filter these ghg's like God intended. i think we need to plug some of the holes at forbes who think methane is going to destroy the planet that way they won't be spewing hot carbon dioxide all over the news.: ) they sound like al gore ......i invented the internet.no, i invented the internet,no i invented the internet. : )

This it was happens when the few dogooders that are clueless cause everyone to change. Nuclear power is the answer especially with new tec for reusing fuel rods.
