Good old Microsoft.
Came up with PlaysForSure... took it out behind the barn and shot it.
Came up with Windows Mobile... who needs a phone that can bluescreen? Took it out behind the barn and shot it.
Came up with Zune... took it out behind the barn and shot it.
At least selling full versions of Windows is a high point... need it to run Boot Camp on the Macintosh. Too many mission critical vertical market apps where there is no Mac equivalent out there. At least with Boot Camp you get to run the apps on nicely designed hardware instead of clunky commodity hardware that breaks more than a Mac.

Soft is $26.16 a share. Doing nothing useful.
They make money on Office and Windows only to lose it on other projects. FWIW: Ford is selling a lot of vehicles with "powered by Microsoft" SYNC, working on a "bring your own phone and music, we should get along nicely" basis.

Yes, and if the news Steve Jobs has to go to the doctor the price goes down.
When questioned about his health, one time they displayed a chart with "110/70" on it. Maybe they should switch that to "iLiver 2.0 installed."

Microsoft needs to figure out a way to get rid of the bottomless pit of machines that happily run Windows XP. I was commenting to my dental hygienist that I'd expect the practice to jump straight from Windows XP to Windows 7.
They're phasing out the hard-copy charts. They were partly done with me. They had the crowns charted but not the fillings.

The problem is that Microsoft is too successful at their prime directive to have a computer on every desk and in every home running their software.
They ought to do another one of those $3 dividends before Obama gets the idea to tax the dickens out of dividends.

With the new Win 7 OS. You have to get the Pro version to be able to revert back to XP.

Given what I've heard about our workstation upgrade cycles, I would not be surprised if we move from XP to 7 with no intervening step to enjoy the Vista.
I'm on Vista at home but then at home but I do different things at home than what I do at work.

I doubt given the market reality that Microsoft can come up with anything better to do with their cash cache than cut dividend checks for their stockholders.
Six billion dollars for Vista indicates they're getting desperate.
The Office 2007 ribbon is neat but you'll have to do a lot of clicking to find out where things are.
