Canadians were also wiser in that they didn't deregulate the oil industry.

So far no change in the prices in Edmonton, Alberta. Actually a lot of stations have dropped the price 1¢/litre (88.9 per litre for 87 /regular).

If you live near Queenston (Ontario) it's cheaper to drive across the US Border to buy Canadian gas being sold in Lewiston and that was processed/refined & exported from Hamilton (Ontario).
That's disgusting.

We constantly hear about how supply and demand has nothing to do with it but I remember in the old days when the same people telling us that, used to claim the exact opposite and say it WAS all about supply and demand and it wasn't that long ago...

Lucky Canadians!! Sure would be nice to see the dollar rise and oil fall but that's just wishful thinking. Gas prices here in Orange County are holding for now but with oil near $90 a barrel I'm sure it will start rising over the weekend!

At least Canada isn't spending out of control & printing money. Voters have spoken, and there should be an end to the over-spending & no more stimulus.

Canadians won't be seeing the increases that the U.S. will see. The Canadian currency is stronger than the dollar, helping offset the increase in prices. (Lucky you!)
Good...it is about time! I still think our pump prices are too high! We're exporting oil, we should be paying alot less than what we are!

The Baker Hughes rig count is up considerably. The last that I looked, that was mutually exclusive with putting the brakes on new oil exploration.

You'll have your chance in two more years.

Didn't "they" blame Bush and his oil buddies the last time gas reached $3 a gallon? Why aren't "they" blaming Obama now?

Current Washington leaders didn't care if gas prices went up & have done nothing to prevent or slow them because higher gas prices stimulates public interest in favor of their Green Energy policy. However some of those Gov. supported programs like Ethanol cost more overall & are worst for pollution. Despite that they wanted Ethanol increased to 15%. Also there are many other adverse conditions worsened by Ethanol. They also have put the brakes on new oil exploration since this President took office, even though we will need just as much oil for 20+ more years. Their attack on American oil production, & blocking the new Canadian Oil pipe line is making America More dependent on OPEC oil. Why any American President would take such an action in my opinion is Grounds for impeachment.

We are at the $3.00 mark now in the midwest. This is just wrong and dam it Congress needs to do something about it now. This has to stop because at these prices and going higher there will be no recovery for main street. Food prices are also increasing and still with higher unemployment it only spells more pain and suffering for middle america and more profit for big business america.

Speculators are traitors, giving aid and comfort to the enemy and causeing pain and suffering to the real Americans. Speculation in oil should be illegal and traitors should be tried and sentenced.
