That is Royal Dutch Shell for you. Well prepared for the task, as always!

Sounds more like a bunch of bumbling incompetent Shell executives in charge. Good luck Alaska!!!

Much like a "soap opera" we get a day-by-day and blow-by-blow rendition of this epic drilling journey in the Beaufort and Chukchi seas. Tomorrow's chapter will be "A Day In The Life Of A Greenpeace Activist".

Hey, wait a sec! The headline says: "Barge Flaws Delay Shell Alaska Drilling, Coast Guard Says"

But the article says >> “Our largest impediment to time of drilling is persistent sea ice,” said Curtis Smith, a spokesman for The Hague-based company.<<

And going on from there to say >>The company will use the delay to complete renovating a barge called the Arctic Challenger to add oil-recovery equipment that will be deployed in the event of a well blowout. <<

So it's sea ice, not barge flaws that are delaying drilling.

If you were harboring in illusions about the quality and reliability of the urinalism coming out of Bloomberg, this should help dispel them.
