Why do oil prices always "edge" up $1-2 but when they go down $1-2, the price "plummets" ??

One reason, and you might not like it, is the reduced number of copy editors at various publications, because they're "catch" or "gotcha" words that attract attention. People don't want to take the time to read a "boring" headline or story, but they will jump to reading entertainment magazine headlines. After all, is anyone really interested in reading about, let alone caring about, the Kardashians or the trials and tribulations of "Brad-gelina", or "Jen" and her current "shack up" (the word used in a headline of a leading magazine referring to her moving in with her boyfriend while her house is being renovated) if it weren't for headlines and flashy words?
