I don't know. But, I plan to have that tattoed on my dumaflatchy. How cool will that be. The girls will be smiling when they read it.

Most likely a different sticker elsewhere. Around here there are inspection stickers on the pumps.

Every state should have a department of weights and measures to keep gas pumps compliant.

Make sure you get an accurate gasoline flow reading. If not, you can notify the "Department of Weights and Measure" and they will enforce the owner to be compliant or he will be fined.

I don't believe anything that these crooks claim and haven't for years now.

Wepsman --
I can't speak for your state (nor mine either, at least not officially) but the "weights and measures" sticker is on prominent display at ANY station I've stopped at in the last several years here in Mississippi

Post some gas prices while you are riding your moped around town!

Similar to what OceanArcher said, it was essentially a dispenser manufacturing note. In light of local agency testing, the sticker became irrelevant, though you might still see similar stickers on some older pumps.
But, just wondering, what happened to gas price posting? In the nearly seven years of membership, you've posted 429 message forum posts, about more than 100 of which you started. Deducting points for message posts, you've made about 75 gas price posts, roughly one gas price post a month over seven years. I would think that posting gas prices would be more useful than starting message topics. Especially considering you started about a third more message threads than the number of gas prices you posted. Wrong priorities. To me at least.

Ocean: You may be driving a long way. Due to budget problems, many states have stopped the yearly checks.

That sticker was just the manufacturer's claim. I'm more interested in the sticker from the department of Weights and Measures for your area -- is it there? If not, I'd drive on ...
